Evan Kindley is a literary critic and visiting assistant professor at Pomona College. He is the author of two books, Poet-Critics and the Administration of Culture (Harvard University Press, 2017) and Questionnaire (Bloomsbury, 2016), and the co-editor, with Kara Wittman, of the forthcoming Cambridge Companion to the Essay. He is a founding editor of the Los Angeles Review of Books.

His writing has appeared in The New Republic, The Nation, the New York Review of Books, n+1, and many other publications. He tweets @evankindley.
